Weatherization is the process of making buildings more energy-efficient and comfortable by reducing air infiltration and heat loss. This can involve adding insulation, sealing air leaks, installing storm windows and doors, and improving ventilation systems. Weatherization is an important step towards reducing energy consumption and utility bills, as well as improving indoor air quality and overall comfort. It is also an important measure in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and combating climate change. Weatherization can be performed on both residential and commercial buildings, and there are a variety of programs available to help pay for weatherization upgrades.

Georgia Power offers rebates are designed to help offset costs to decrease your home's power usage. Having a Whole or Individual House Energy Assessment performed on your home is the best way to diagnose where energy is being lost. The energy audit will help identify specific energy saving and possible home improvements that are designed to help you reach a total energy reduction goal of at least 25% which will qualify you for an additional $1150 GA Power rebate. Once the recommended improvements are successfully completed, a follow-up assessment will then be performed to measure the improvement to the building envelope and to verify the energy efficient improvements were completed.
